About

I am an artist, musician, and educator who has always loved to create. Whether through painting, collage, songwriting, or teaching, I am drawn to the process of transforming a feeling into experiences that inspire curiosity, connection, and reflection.

Although my creative career has been previously expressed through music, visual art has always been an equally important part of my life. My first declared major was Art Education. As a young artist I felt insecure and ill equipped in the competitive art environment at University. I instead earned my undergraduate degree in Art History, and alongside years of songwriting, performing, and teaching, I have continued to paint, experiment, and develop confidence and my own visual language. Working primarily in acrylic paint and collage, I combine original painting, found imagery, and layered textures to create compositions that blur the boundaries between painting and photography, memory and imagination.

As a singer-songwriter, I have released original music, performed throughout New York City, and had songs licensed for film and television. As an educator with master's degrees in Elementary Education and Music Education, I have spent my career nurturing creativity in children. I conducted original research on the social-emotional effects of songwriting in elementary education, which was published in a SAGE journal. That same spirit of curiosity and exploration continues to inform everything I create.
